Projects
I was fortunate enough to work under a supervisor that allowed me to select tasks that interested me; I was also delegated with full creative control, allowing me to explore how I want to go about it.

I have highlight projects that allowed me to grow most in terms of professionalism. These are in addition to other small projects such as researching the importance of CommUnity buying Narcan, salary analysis, and internal communication.
Modernizing Emergency Procedure Plan
The first project I set out to work on was CommUnity's emergency procedure plan. Besides completely redesigning the visual format, I looked into every protocol, ensuring the implementation of best practices.

I also used my public health knowledge to develop a pandemic flu section for the EPP, something that proved necessary for these unprecedented times.
Justice, Equity, Diversity,
and Inclusion Committee
Most of my time at CommUnity was spent researching and developing a new, diversity oriented committee for employees. This was one of the most rewarding aspects of my entire experience. Social justice is a driving force in what I am passionate about. I want to create a better world for everyone, regardless of identity.
I started by gathering background research on what makes for an effective committee and followed up with discerning best practices for a JEDI focused group. I reached out to employees at the organization, created an PowerPoint, sent out the agenda, and lead the initial meeting.
I am proud I was able to spark a desire for change at CommUnity; I have no doubt the individuals who now serve as leaders will produce great change.
Organizational Structure
CommUnity has grown significantly as an organization since its inception, expanding its crisis outreach across multiple counties and even opening a second food bank. As a result, their current organizational structure was starting to show its age. I was tasked with creating a visual representation of the current hierarchy and what it would look like to transition to a C-Suite style. I was appreciative of this learning opportunity, I didn't know structure could affect effectiveness in such a significant way!
Accrediation and
Project Management
I found a project management program to assist CommUnity with organizing what standards need to be met for their upcoming accreditation audit.
Although a bit tedious, this offered me great insight to how much occurs behind the scenes of a nonprofit; it goes way beyond simply serving the community.
